Aims and Objectives

The book "Silenced" with attached CD-ROM and this web-site were created to highlight the repressive censorship regime of the Chinese authorities, with special focus on the censorship violations aimed at the Voice of Tibet radio stations' activities.

Every day since Voice of Tibet (radio) started broadcasting 10 years ago, the Chinese authorities have attempted to jam or block Voice of Tibet’s transmissions and web-site, to deny the citizens of Tibet and China access to uncensored news and information.

We urge you to support us in demanding a stop to China's violations of Voice of Tibet's broadcasts, by engaging in highlighting and protesting these violations, it be journalists, organizations and institutions, politicians or ordinary citizens and travelers.
